Oil Pump Structure & Functions

The oil pump is a critical component in the lubrication system of an engine to increase the oil to a certain pressure and force it to the moving surface of all parts of the engine. The structural form of oil pump can be divided into gear type and rotor type. Gear type oil pump is divided into internal gear type and external gear wheel type, which is generally called gear type oil pump.

Oil pump assy is consist of the following parts,
1, The gear assembly is the core mechanism of the oil pump. It consists of gears that rotate and create suction, drawing oil from the oil pan or reservoir. The gear assembly ensures efficient oil flow and distribution throughout the engine.
2, The oil pump body houses the gear assembly and provides a protective casing for the internal components. It is designed to withstand high pressures and maintain structural integrity, ensuring the proper functioning of the oil pum
